Wells Western Ranch Horse Experience

 We retrieve horses we assign for your to ride that day.

You will then learn how to groom, brush and comb their mane and tail. You will then be taught how to pick up the horse's hoof and how to pick them out to remove rocks and impediments before your ride. This is all part of true horsemanship!

This will lead to your horse coming to understand that you will be in charge today.

We then will saddle and bridle the horse for you. Then, you will walk the horse, occasionally giving them commands that they must obey at your instruction.

Once you display ground control, then we help you mount your horse. Once in the saddle, we’ll adjust your stirrups and hand you the reins and begin explaining to you reining techniques and verbal commands to which our horses respond (on a good day! LOL!).
